Chiron – often known as the wounded-healer centaur – is making a station today at 12 degrees of Aries shifting from reverse to direct. Discovered by astronomer Charles Kowal on November 1, 1977, Chiron has an approximate 50-year orbit around the Sun and when discovered Chiron was located at 4 degrees of Taurus. Remarkably, at the Discovery of Uranus on March 13, 1781 – a discovery that sent shock waves through the world as it altered our understanding of the size and significance of the solar system – Chiron was also located at 4 degrees of Taurus. Chiron’s symbol in birth charts is a Key that symbolically opens doors to Higher Consciousness and the Soul-Spirit Realms.
Dateline December 21, 2022: For those of you who are now enjoying the Astrology Cosmic Kalendar App one day at a time – but who have not yet subscribed to be able to look several weeks into the future – here are the calendar entries for the very potent Capricorn New Moon on Friday December 23 and the day after Saturday December 24. The first main reason this New Moon — energizing 2 degrees of Capricorn — is extra significant is because the solar and lunar orbs are united with the important asteroid Hygeia (which is connected strongly with a wide variety of health matters).
The second main reason is that the wounded-healer planetary body Chiron at 12 degrees of Aries is making a station to shift from retrograde to direct motion less than 1 hour before the exact time of the Capricorn New Moon.
Important: Take a look through the previous Global Hot Spot just published about the Sun entering Capricorn at the Solstice on December 21 where the Sun is exactly united with Hygeia. Therefore, it is wise to begin to focus attention on this key asteroid – discovered on April 12, 1849 – and named after one of the daughters of Asclepius who was a God/Hero of medicine, healing, rejuvenation and physicians in ancient Greek Mythology.

Friday December 23 As indicated in Thursday’s calendar entry, the universe is putting on quite a show for humanity and Mother Earth as wounded-healing maestro Chiron makes a station at 12 degrees of Aries (1:32am) — to shift from retrograde to direct — while less than 1 hour later the New Moon occurs at 2 degrees of Capricorn (2:18am). Building forward momentum across the board should be in the cards, but safety-security strong Vesta in Pisces squares Mars in Gemini (9:22am), Mercury parallels distant Pluto (2:34pm) and Jupiter now in Aries forms a frictional, 45-degree tie to Uranus in Taurus (4:44pm). If the potentially jarring and unsettling Jupiter-Uranus antagonism sounds familiar, it’s because this tense aspect already happened in 2022 on May 11 and September 28. Focus attention on the following Chiron themes – keys opening doors to higher consciousness, synchronicity, the wounded-healer, holistic healing and alternative medicine, the twilight zone, shamans, mavericks and mentors, mantras, mandalas, sacred dance, oracles, feelings of déjà vu and mental telepathy, ESP, bridge-building between different dimensions of consciousness, UFOs and ETs. Saturday December 24 The cosmos attempts to give you early Christmas insight-boosting gifts on this Saturday as the Moon in Capricorn trines Uranus in Taurus (12:03am) and the lunar orb moves on to make its monthly unions with Venus and Mercury (4:17am and 11:33am). Plus, more good news in your favor happens – thanks to a Sun-Venus parallel (5:06am), Venus making an inspirational, 72-degree tie to Jupiter in Aries (11:59am) and Mercury forming a supportive, 60-degree alliance with visionary Neptune in Pisces (5:18pm). Bask in this temporary euphoria because it doesn’t happen very often. Plunge into research projects with renewed passion as the Moon makes its monthly rendezvous with underworld-ruler Pluto in Capricorn (7:12pm). The Moon’s union with Pluto begins a void lunar zone that lasts until the Moon enters airy Aquarius at 11:15pm. During the lunar void zone cycle strive to be a savvy problem-resolver as Mercury in Capricorn forms an illuminating polarity with Pallas Athena in Cancer (9:29pm). Once the Moon is residing in the eleventh sign of the zodiac, let your optimistic demeanor take charge as the lunar orb forms a supportive, 60-degree rapport with Jupiter (11:58pm).
